Case Study: Marriott Hotels

At EDT, we’ve worked with many Marriott properties over the years, including Westin, W, JW Marriott, Ritz-Carlton and more, and the thought process is always the same: Each property has its own personality. Our job is to bring that out with content that’s beautiful, intentional, and most importantly useful.

Through videos built to sell out a ballroom, a drone tour that helps planners visualize a site before they visit, a virtual walkthrough for a sales team to drop into an email, or a captivating hero banner video on the website for guests to visualize themselves in, we’re here to make visual content that works hard for the property.

We’re also not new to Marriott’s process. We’ve worked through the full website video approval pipeline several times now and know what’s needed creatively and technically to get your video or FlyView site live on Marriott.com and your social media pages.

What We Actually Do for Marriott Hotels

Marriott’s strength is its scale. Every property is different in layout, audience, and goals, which we understand and use to adapt to each property and their needs.

We’ve filmed:

  • FPV indoor drone tours that help group sales teams show off space layout and event flow.
  • Lifestyle and brand videos for use on homepages, social campaigns, and ownership reports.
  • Photography across room types, food & beverage, amenities, and guest experience.
  • FlyView integrations for hotels who want a centralized, interactive way to share their best assets with potential clients.

The goal never changes: help the property book faster, sell easier, and show up beautifully online without needing a 20-person production team or a multi-week shoot that disrupts many guests.

Marriott Properties We’ve Worked With

We’ve had the chance to film for some incredible Marriott brands across the country, here are just a few:

Hotel Republic San Diego (Autograph Collection): View Video Below or View FlyView (under Virtual Tour):

SFO Marriott Waterfront:

San Jose Marriott:

JW Marriott Orlando, Grande Lakes:

JW Marriott Nashville:

Ritz-Carlton Orlando, Grande Lakes:

Westin Houston Memorial City:

Westin Peachtree Plaza Atlanta:

Westin Seattle:

W Los Angeles – West Beverly Hills:

Each property had a different goal, and our content reflected that. For some, it was a clean, modern hero video for their site. For others, it was a drone fly-through to show group clients how the lobby connects to the ballroom and breakout rooms. For some, it was social content, short, punchy visuals that highlight the vibe of the space. For some, it was all of the above.

Why It Works

We’ve built a system that makes content production simple, even across complex hotels with layered needs.

We show up with a small, experienced team. We don’t overcomplicate. We hit brand standards. And we deliver edits that pass through Marriott’s internal digital review pipeline without drama.

Marriott’s brand family is big, and no two hotels are the same. Our job is to translate what an individual property does best into visuals that help you sell the space and not just show it like most video companies.

Don't believe me? Listen to Charles Gardner, Director of Sales/Marketing of Hotel Republic on why he decided to work with us at EDT:

If you’re a Marriott hotel, or any brand really, looking to refresh your content (lifestyle hero video, drone tour, virtual tour platform), or for full creative direction, we’re ready to help you bring your vision to life.

As always, remember that while "drone" is in our name, it's very far from all that we do here at EDT.
